Bernadette Quinn, PhD, is a Human Geographer and Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Technological University Dublin, Ireland. Her teaching and research interests include urban tourism planning and development, socio-cultural infrastructures, arts festivals/cultural events and place making. Her work is widely published in international tourism, urban studies and geography journals and edited collections. Bernadette has held External Examining roles at a number of third level institutions in Europe and further afield. She sits on the Editorial Advisory Board of Tourism Geographies, the Journal of Policy Research in Tourism, Leisure and Events and the Journal of Heritage Tourism and is a member of the International Geographical Union Tourism Commission board. Currently, she is Principal Investigator on the ARISE funded project Pathways to New Irish Tourism (PNUT) and is working on a co-edited volume on Philosophy and Ethics of Festivals and Events.
