Dr. Wim Strijbosch

Researcher at the Academy for Leisure & Events, Breda University of Applied Sciences

Wim Strijbosch is a researcher and lecturer at Breda University of Applied Sciences. He holds a PhD with distinction from Tilburg University, as well as an MSc in Leisure and Tourism Studies and a BSc in Leisure Management, both from Breda University of Applied Sciences.

Wim is part of the Breda University of Applied Sciences’ Experience Lab, which is aimed at enhancing our understanding of tourism and leisure experience using both psychophysiological measures and neuroimaging methods. His research explores the role of emotions in tourism and leisure experiences in particular, with a focus on themed entertainment. Wim’s work appears in both academic and industry outlets, both in written form and at conferences.

Wim also serves on the Europe Middle East divisional board of the Themed Entertainment Association.
